PLAN THE WEDDING EDITION

Make a newspaper wedding program.

A newspaper wedding program combines a practical guide to your celebration with something guests can take home. The same format is often called a wedding newspaper or wedding programme in the UK.

Create your newspaper

What belongs in your wedding program?

Start with both names, the date and the venue. Add a short welcome, the running order and any people you want to acknowledge. A photograph and a brief account of your story make it feel personal. Games are an optional extra for the reception, rather than part of the ceremony itself.

For a formal or religious ceremony, ask your officiant which details guests need. Our maker provides a short event schedule, not a specialist liturgical order of service or a full songbook. Only include wording you have permission to reproduce.

An example running order

A simple reception-day program could read: 2:00 pm — Ceremony; 2:45 pm — Drinks and photographs; 4:30 pm — Dinner and speeches; 7:00 pm — First dance; 11:30 pm — Last song. These are examples, not recommended timings for every wedding.

Replace them with your confirmed schedule. You can add up to eight events. Include an arrival or transport time if it will help guests, and keep the event names short enough to scan easily.

A program guests can actually read

Use clear labels and a sensible amount of text. The wedding newspaper maker places the timeline on the inside page so it is easy to find. Reserve the front page for your photograph and story.

The browser preview is a design aid. Download the PDF and check it at 100% scale, especially if your guests include people who prefer larger text. Shorten the wording if it feels crowded. The PDF generator reports an error if text does not fit instead of silently cutting it off.

US Letter or A4?

Choose US Letter for standard 8.5 × 11-inch paper, or A4 for 210 × 297 mm. Switching to the US edition changes the initial paper-size preference for a new project. An existing draft keeps its chosen paper size; change it in the Design tab when needed.

You receive two portrait newspaper pages plus separate crossword, word-search, quiz and answer sheets. This is a print-at-home or print-shop PDF, not a folded tabloid publication with bleed. Your printer can tell you whether it suits their production process.

How many copies should you print?

Decide where the newspaper will be handed out. One per couple can work for a shared keepsake; one per guest is easier when everyone needs an individual program. For the games, print one sheet per person or team, depending on how you plan to play.

Print the answer key only for the host. A small number of spare copies can help with last-minute changes, but there is no need to print every page of the pack for every guest. Use your PDF reader’s page selection to choose the newspaper pages or individual games.

Keep editing after your purchase

The £12.99 GBP purchase covers one wedding and includes revisions and repeat downloads while the service is available. Save the project backup and recovery code before payment, then save a fresh backup after important edits.

Your draft is stored on your device when browser storage is available. It is not an online account or permanent cloud archive. Open your project backup on another device to restore your design and purchase access.
